Transformation

Written by admin

I’ve been very quiet on my blog for the last month as  have been doing some really amazing transformation work on myself. It’s been fairly radical yet subtle and incredibly profound, and I feel a  totally different shift in energy, and an ability to get things done so much faster as I’ve got rid of many of the things holding me back. I’ve been having body work from Gabrielle Richards who finds blockages in the body through massage and helps work through the emotions stuck there - amazing what cropped up there.

Also did an evening with Gary and Dain from Access Consciousness who as always, blow my mind and lots of the rubbish stored in there. As an aside, though it seems quite pertinent, I burned my self quite badly in the strong sunshine when I went for a walk in the Chiltern Hills unexpectedly (hence the lack of suntan protection!) and am in the process of peeling - it’s that naughty indulgence of peeling off bits of skin that we used to have as children (very unglamourous!) but realise that I’m peeling off the old to reveal the new, the more authentic.

And I’ve almost completed the filming for my book - the dances and exercises are explained and I’m so looking forward to sharing that with people. Watch for more information.

Living in the Now

Written by admin

Oh the bliss of bluebell woods in Spring time. I would feel deprived if I didn’t each year spend some time revelling in the depth of colour and sheer joy of these increasingly rare plants.  And even in the aftermath of a torrential downpour, walking through the bluebell paths in the woods was quite blissful.

Amongst the beeches were some extraordinary sounds which at first I just couldn’t fathom - it turned out that a dying tree was leaning against a living tree, and the creaking as they swayed in the wind was quite uncanny. It sounded like something out of Pirates of the Caribbean, creaking and groaning, to and fro, and echoing through the woods.

A bluebell wood is the perfect place for being in the now - letting go of thought. Just looking, being aware of what is, the colours, the shapes, the contrast of light and shade, the vibrancy of the flowers. Then listening - no labelling of anything at all - the sounds of the breaking twigs underfoot, the birdsong through the woodland, the creaking of the branches, the sounds of the wind. Then feeling - the dampness of the air on your skin, the warmth of dappled sunlight playing on your face, the sense of being at one with nature, the awareness of being alone yet not lonely. Then smelling - the damp earthy smells coming up to greet your nostrils, the smell of the young bracken unfurling its sweetness, the smell of the warmth of my own skin. Then tasting - again the sweetness in the air, the mustiness of the damp earth.

Now back to looking. You see it’s all about awareness - keeping out of thought and noticing. It seems as if the trees and the flowers connect to us bringing peace and calm and vitality and life back into our bodies. The trees are complete - they have finished their evolution. It is only human beings who haven’t. It’s blissful to see them in all their splendour -  strong and powerful and just being what they are supposed to be.

St Teresa’s Prayer

Written by admin

I just came across this as I am looking out of my kitchen window through the treetops towards a beautiful rosy pink sunset - the birds are singing their evening song and all is well in my world. How blessed.

“May today there be peace within.

May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite  possibilities that are born of faith

May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content knowing you are a child of God.

Let this presence settle into our bones,

and allow you soul the freedom to sing, dance and to bask in the sun …

It is there for each and every one of you ….”

More Clearing

Written by admin

I’m feeling so blessed at the moment. People and circumstances and events and understandings are pouring into my life. I feel like an open vessel, or is it maybe that I feel a little more like a colander or a filter? It seems that all that is good is filling and  inspiring me,  and all that is not serving my life is draining away.

Sadly I have had to let go of some people in my life who have meant so much to me, but whose lives I can no longer be part of. It’s hard when you love people who have so much obvious potential, but who are determined to live their lives in perpetual misery with their “victim story.”  Part of loving them has to mean leaving them to it, as it is no more right for me to try and force on them my understandings of how to create  happiness and joy and fulfillment, than for them to try and force their misery and negativity onto me. I just find it takes as much effort to be miserable as it does to be happy, and I know which one I choose. And it is not up to me to rescue and fix people - I have no idea what their path in life is, and I become superior when I think someone else needs help as my ego is at work. Seriously not nice!

So I am just imagining them with a  beautiful golden ball of goodness and love above their head raining golden energy down through their bodies, and letting the Universe handle the details. Which means I can regain my own energy instead of leaving it with them. Yes I really am blessed.

More Spring Cleaning

Written by admin

Have you begun to Spring Clean your Life yet? What still needs to change? What do you not have clarity about yet? What questions do you need to ask, and of whom?

When you look at your energy levels, you will find that so much of your energy is tied up in un-met expectations, in un-answered questions, in incompletions. Yet when you get the questions answered even if it may be a bit painful, when you complete those things that hang over you like the sword of Damocles, when you have those conversations where clarity is needed, suddenly more energy becomes available again.

When you clear away what is holding you back, you create the space for Life to step in and point you in the right direction. Your self-esteem will be enhanced as you are living with greater integrity, your confidence levels will rise and your creativity will have a chance to emerge ecstatically and playfully. Freedom and bliss!

The Sacred Feminine

Written by admin

I started re-reading The Da Vinci Code a few days ago having visited Temple Church in London a few weeks back.  How enlightening to read about the sacred feminine again, about the sacred union between man and woman in love-making which seems to have been grossly distorted over the years through our societal conditioning. What a great loss to mankind as a whole as we have thrown away the spiritual connection between us in our touch, our caress and the healing of our intimacy. What was once regarded as a pathway to the infinite, has degenerated into tasteless, fear-based shame, and has given us so many problems.

Our bodies are such miracles - how can we have done this to ourselves?

It has given me once again the urge to run my workshops for couples, to help them re-connect to the essence of love, connection at a deep level. Through my experience of working with singles and couples over the years, I know that when our intimate relationships have depth and trust and fulfillment, then our businesses become successful and our creativity is awakened. We become the role models for the younger generation so that they can build on it.

Let me know what your deepest needs are in relationship, whether you are single or part of a couple, and I will put together some more information.

Driving to my Athena women’s network business lunch yesterday, it was yet again one of those beautiful Spring mornings, and with the smell of newly mown grass wafting on the breeze and the views of glorious yellow daffodils still bobbing their head in the fields along with baby lambs everywhere, it was so delightfully easy to feel full of the joys of Spring. And why not indeed?

We lunched at the quintessentially English manor of Hartwell House - such a lovely venue for we girls to get together. And outside baby bunnies were lolloping around the grounds, blissfully chomping away at the grass and playing chase, while inside were a plethora of amazing women, all so talented and with a wealth of business and life experience.

A few months ago I gave the keynote speech to an Athena conference about the potency of the feminine in business, and it is so satisfying seeing women now coming away from their hard-nosed corporate behaviour and softening into  the joy of having their own businesses where they can allow their real authentic self to emerge. It brings a greater sense of fulfillment as we relax into bringing all our skills and intuition and rich imagination to our projects.

I think I need to record that speech so others can have the benefit of it. Please do email me if you want to listen to it.

Up with the lark yesterday and when I went outside, among the daffodils on the grass, were big fat pigeons happily cooing away and ferreting around on the lawn. The dawn chorus, the dampness on the still air and the smells of early morning took me straight back to my camping days as a girl guide, to wooding for the fires on which we used to cook, and to the treks through marshy hill paths following the streams. How I loved it, whether by lakes or in the mountains, the taste of the food, the smells of the fires, the companionship and the daring to take risks. The memories took me back to being 14 again.

So with that youthfulness, I took myself off to a Biodanza session with my fellow teachers where we danced barefoot guided by one of the teachers and by the music, connecting with each other and with our own zest for life, our dreams and the natural health in our bodies, all without words. As always with Biodanza, one’s instincts awaken again, that  desire to live, to really live and to express oneself fully, to grow and change, to release old patterns, to marvel at the infinite possibilities. And when we connect at that level with ourselves and with others, our cells take on board the new ways of being - and within moments the stress falls from the face, the body remembers that childlike sense of wonder, and we rejuvenate right there and then. Magic, pure magic.

Looking For The One

Written by admin

WHAT IF there isn’t just one person in the world for us? What if there are hundreds of possible people with whom we could have a wonderful, loving, passionate, delicious, fulfilling relationship?

WHAT IF it’s all just a question of deciding that the person in front of you is the one you are going to create that relationship with? WHAT IF it’s all about you and how you choose to show up? WHAT IF relationships inevitably bring up issues which have not been healed from your past so that you become aware of them so you can heal them? WHAT IF you took the time and initiative and made the effort to work on your own issues so that you bring the best of you to the relationship? WHAT IF  you started to honour and appreciate who you are so that others can honour and appreciate you too? WHAT IF it all starts with you?

I have a coaching package called Spring Clean Your Life which will help you do all that. WHAT IF it makes all the difference?

It’s time for a Spring Clean, and why not do it with your relationship? It’s wonderful to see the couples I am working with changing and transforming as if by magic.

It’s all about getting rid of what’s no longer working, throwing it in the bin, and bringing some new fresh energy into it with a willingness to become more conscious. So who are you bringing into your relationship? Are you dragging loads of old baggage with it to dump on your partner? What if your relationship could be a place of deep intimacy, bringing only the best of you to it? What if you both were intent on doing whatever it takes to make it work, bringing out the best in each other and creating something truly amazing together? You see, when you let go of what wasn’t working and let go of all the accusations and things you did in the past, and start again with a conscious loving creative desire, your relationship can be one of growth, rejuvenation and intimacy beyond your wildest dreams - a true connection, not only heart to heart but spirit to spirit using your body as the vehicle. How does it get better than that?

Enjoy the warmth and sunshine of today on your skin and bring that warmth into your voice, your smile, your touch.
